Creatine has been one of the most successful sports supplement ever made. The benefits of creatine are significant especially if you are an athlete. Creatine supplementation provides increased energy to your muscles, particularly when they begin to fatigue while exercising. I have personally experienced this energy boost from creatine many times while strength training with free weights; the heavier the weights became while I trained, the more my energy output would spike upward. The energy boost would then increase confidence and intensity while training which would ultimately produce a better workout.
To maximize the benefits of creatine, it should be cycled and a sensible diet should also be followed. If your diet consists of a lot of processed foods and processed sugars (candy, soda, sweets, etc.) creatine’s benefits will be diminished.
